Boston, MA June 3, 2008: Geoff & Drew's brownies blow away the taste testers at The Nibble, earning honors as "the best brownies we've ever had," and Top Pick of The Week.  For a confection that’s been around for a scant hundred years, the brownie has certainly bonded with Americans. How many people have never baked a batch—even if only from a mix? Growing up licking the bowl from the brownie batter is a memory that many of us hold dear. Since its inception, the brownie has evolved from something with a light chocolate flavor, to recipes that can rival fudge for their dense intensity. But at the end of the day, what most people want is a basic chocolate brownie. The NBA Players Wives Association - Behind The Bench (February 2007) - selected Geoff & Drew's to provide their award winning cookies to all of their VIPs for NBA 2007 All Star Weekend Gala and Events.

Boston Business Journal - 40 Under 40 Winner - Drew Koven of Geoff & Drew's Incredible Cookies in Boston, Massachusetts has been chosen, out of more than 280 nominations, as one the Boston Business Journal's 2006 - 40 Under 40, recognizing those under the age of forty making their mark in the Boston business world. This is the 9th annual 40 Under 40 Awards, and a record number of nominations were received, making the BBJ's determination of this year's 40 Under 40 difficult - but resulting in one of the most impressive 40 Under 40 groups they have ever had. Boston Globe - Sugar and Spice for the holidays - Cookie company hits sweet formula (December 4, 2005) - The holidays weren't always quite this crazy for Geoff & Drew's, a gourmet cookie and brownie maker in Brighton Center. Started four years ago as a late-night cookie delivery service, the business really took off when it refocused its efforts on the national and international mail-order market (www.gdcookies.com). The company baked its millionth cookie last March and expects its 2-millionth to come out of the oven at some point around the New Year -- but only after the mixers, bakers, and boxers have put in a string of 12-, 14-, or even 36-hour days. How do they keep going?

The Boston Globe (March 13, 2005) - Cookies? They've baked a million, and counting - It's a delicious milestone: the millionth cookie made. The mark, passed 10 days ago at Geoff & Drew's Cookies, occurred somewhere in a mixed order of 24. The company was formed in 2001 when Koven and his friends Geoff Auslen and Carol Spickler wanted a career change. 'We just woke up one day and said, 'We're not doing what we love to do,' " says Koven, 'and we kind of all came to the same conclusion at the same time." That conclusion: Aim to make and sell the best cookies around. The focus is on one- to two-day delivery of cookies baked to order, not just in the Boston area but also across the country. 'We'll keep baking as long as people keep enjoying them," Drew Koven says. 'That's what it's all about." - Will Kilburn

Charitable Involvement

Boston, MA - March, 2008 - Drew Koven of Geoff & Drew’s Incredible Cookies announces that is has joined forces with Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer as their first online retail partner
Now in it’s 9th year, Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer has evolved and grown into one of the sweetest weeks Boston and the Greater Boston area has experienced. Teaming up with restaurants, bakeries, and cafes across the region, Boston Bakes offers the opportunity to enjoy a delectable dessert, and support breast cancer research and care at the same time. Previously a part of The Eva Brownman Breast Cancer Fund, Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer is now registered through the Attorney General’s Office as an official commercial co-venture. This is very exciting for our event and we’re looking forward to having our best year yet. Last year Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer raised over $40,000. Drew Koven commented "This year, we hope to help break the two hundred and fifty thousand dollar mark of funds raised through Boston Bakes and its wonderful partners!"
